A kaleidoscope is a tubular multifaceted mirror combining 2 or more mirrors to view images of objects enclosed inside or attached to its tip. It is also called “kaleidoscope,” rendering the synonymous English word in katakana. Formerly also called “myriad-flower mirror,” “hundred-color spectacles,” or “brocade spectacles.”
