Dance music such as techno, house, progressive, and trance is unprecedentedly free of genre boundaries. Musical elements from every genre combine, truly entering an age without genre borders. The sound playing the central role is “bleep house,” the theme of “Day Dream Bleeper.” The sound's distinguishing features are, first, synthesizer timbres resembling the beeping (= bleep sounds) suggested by its name, distorted “acid house”-style basslines, and rhythmic sounds and developments characteristic of “Chicago house,” combining into an intuitive sound stimulating the senses of the human brain and body. “Bleep house” can be described as an evolved sound formed around the sound of artists such as LFO, whose releases on the prestigious UK techno label Warp took the 90s by storm (the sound known as “bleep techno”), and the “acid house” and “Chicago house” movements originating in Chicago, US, from the 80s, with the addition of laptop production and other practices arising from “click house,” popular over the last few years.
