Within this, humans as living organisms came to distinguish themselves from other organisms by producing logos. Logos is reason, language, logic, and everything created through them; by creating a world of logos outside the laws of physis, humans became able to relativize the reality of physis, even if they could not escape it completely. For example, in the reality of physis, what matters to organisms is the survival of the species rather than the individual. Humans considered that too cruel and created shared commitments in the world of logos, such as basic human rights, that also value individual life. https://www.foresight.ext.hitachi.co.jp/_amp/_ct/17436775
