The Group of 3 (Japanese: Sannin no Kai) was formed in 1953 by Japanese composers Yasushi Akutagawa, Ikuma Dan, and Toshiro Mayuzumi. They held 5 concerts from 1954 to 1962 presenting their own works.
Initially written “3-nin no Kai” using the older character form of kai; pamphlets and flyers use “3-nin no Kai” with the modern form, and no notation using the written-out word “three” is seen.
