Assemblage means “mixing, assembling, combining, blending,” and is also used as a technique for producing three-dimensional artworks. In assemblage as a winemaking technique, multiple base wines are blended to create three-dimensional, artistic flavors, so there is a shared aspect of “combining things to create something artistic.”
