What is CNC? CNC means computer numerical control and is an abbreviation for Computer Numerical Control. It refers to numerical control of the movement distances, rotational speeds, and other parameters of tools such as drills and cutting bits and of workpieces. Conventional general-purpose machine tools such as lathes and milling machines are operated manually by workers to perform machining.
