Political correctness is a general term for policies and similar measures intended to avoid offending or disadvantaging members of particular social groups, referring to the use of neutral expressions and terms without prejudice or discrimination based on differences such as race, belief, gender, or body type. It is translated into Japanese as “political rightness” or “political appropriateness.”
