Quantum teleportation transfers an unknown quantum state to a distant location while keeping it unknown. The sender and receiver share beforehand a special pair of light beams called a quantum-entangled state. The sender jointly measures a photon at hand and the quantum state to be sent, then communicates the result to the receiver through classical communication.
