The Altamira cave paintings, discovered accidentally in northern Spain in the late 19th century, are representative prehistoric art created ten-odd thousand years ago. With assured drawing, color contrasts, blurring, incised lines, and skillful shading in ceiling paintings depicting animals such as boars, bison, and horses, their pictorial expression ranks among the highest in human history. https://scrapbox.io/files/6633a8e459c3c700241ad859.png #media
