The Lunar Society of Birmingham was an informal association organized by influential scholars, natural philosophers, business owners, inventors, chemists, and writers in the Midlands centered on Birmingham, holding regular meetings at Birmingham's Soho House from 1765 to 1813. Initially called the Lunar Circle, it formally became the Lunar Society in 1775.
