The Institut Pasteur (Japanese reading: Pasutsuru kenkyusho; French: Institut Pasteur) is a private nonprofit research institution conducting biological and medical research in Paris, France, and an institution of PSL Research University.
Established in 1887 by Louis Pasteur, who developed the rabies vaccine. Conducts higher education alongside basic and applied research on microorganisms, infectious diseases, vaccines, and more. Traditionally active in microbiology and pathogenic microorganism research. Recent well-known achievements include isolation of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV).

ルイ・パスツールが狂犬病ワクチンを開発し、1887年に開設した。微生物、感染症、ワクチンなどの基礎・応用研究の他、高等教育も行う。伝統的に微生物学や病原微生物研究が盛んである。近年ではヒト免疫不全ウイルス(HIV)の単離などの業績が有名である。
