An SFP transceiver is a type of optical-transceiver module converting electrical signals on circuit boards and optical signals in optical fibers into each other. Compact and hot-pluggable, it is installed in network equipment supporting optical communications. This article also covers similar pluggable modules, QSFP and OSFP.
