Overdubbing, or overdub, means multitrack recording. It is a recording technique using multitrack recorders and similar equipment to layer the same sounds again onto previously recorded audio. Broadly, it is sometimes called “layered recording.”
オーバー・ダビング、またはオーバー・ダブとは、多重録音のことである。マルチトラック・レコーダーなどを使用し、最初に録音した音声などに対して、再度同じ音声などを重ね録りするレコーディングの手法である。広い意味では「重ね録り」と呼ぶ場合もある。
