Music taking everyday noise, such as machinery, rather than musical tones as its motif. In 1913, Italian composer Luigi Russolo (originally a painter participating in Futurism) brought what he named “the art of noises” into the concert hall.
楽音以外の、日常的な機械などの騒音をモティーフとする音楽。 1913年、イタリアの作曲家ルイジ・ルッソロ(元は画家として未来派の運動に参加した人物だが)によって、「騒音芸術」と名付けられたものがコンサートホールへともち込まれた。
