A generator of geometric patterns with network structures (original paper: Compositional Pattern Producing Networks: A Novel Abstraction of Development). The underlying theory is chemical reaction equations reproducing processes that create the mysterious patterns of organisms and the formation of spatial protein patterns during development. For example, the arrangement of fruit fly segments is determined very shortly after fertilization, and the spatial protein gradient within the embryo responsible for this has been shown to be controlled by diffusion reactions following a Gaussian distribution. https://gri.jp/media/entry/7375
