https://www.tokyoartbeat.com/events/-/2018%2FF0A8 “Bright Aquarium” is a two-person exhibition by Kosuke Nagata and Yusuke Oiwa. Both artists take approaches that exploit the tendency of humans to find some relationship between juxtaposed objects. Nagata mainly uses the characteristics of video and photography to make works in which virtual images and physical things short-circuit; Oiwa, meanwhile, thinks through language and acting to make works in which meanings appear and are then corrected. They share a concern in that their works are designed to gain their own dynamism through being exhibited and exposed to people's eyes and consciousness. As the 2 works are themselves “juxtaposed,” relationships will be found in this movement with further dimensionality.
