“Homo Deus” is historian Yuval Noah Harari’s “prediction of humanity’s near future.” It depicts a future in which humanity, having overcome famine, epidemics, and war, pursues “immortality, bliss, and divinity” as its next goals and evolves (upgrades) from Homo sapiens to the superhuman “Homo Deus (human god)” through AI and genetic engineering.
