https://dl.fujifilm-x.com/support/manual/3d/ff_finepixreal3dw1_mn_j100.pdf Taking images for 3D is simple: one merely changes position to obtain views from left and right. Methods therefore vary, including preparing 2 cameras with linked shutters, modifying the lens section to expose left and right images simultaneously on film in 1 shot, or changing position to take 1 more image. Various viewing arrangements are also devised, such as binocular-like stereoscopic viewers, colored (or polarized or liquid-crystal shutter) glasses worn while viewing, and naked-eye stereoscopic viewing. Fujifilm's “FinePix REAL 3D W1,” launching on August 8, is probably the world's first digital camera taking stereoscopic photographs with 2 lenses and image sensors built into 1 camera (I say probably because it may already exist in specialized photographic equipment).
