“Common Flowers / White Out [Experiment in progress]” 2013 https://www.ntticc.or.jp/ja/archive/works/common-flowers-white-out-in-progress/ “Common Flowers / White Out In Progress” BCL | Shiho Fukuhara + Georg Tremmel Tissue culture of blue carnations produced using genetic modification. A portion of the stem containing an axillary bud was cut from a carnation purchased at a flower shop, sterilized, and transferred into a container holding a culture medium containing minerals, sugar, and plant hormones. Next, experiments will be attempted to cancel the effects of the genes introduced to produce the blue coloration and return the carnations to their original white. This plant tissue culture is intended as material for that purpose. (BCL | Shiho Fukuhara + Georg Tremmel)
