(Embodied cognitive science) is an interdisciplinary research field and cognitive science aiming to explain the mechanisms underlying intelligent behavior. These are modeling psychological and biological systems holistically, considering mind and body as one entity; forming a shared set of general principles of intelligent behavior; and experimentally using robotic agents in controlled environments.
