Pythagorean tuning is a tuning system deriving all notes and intervals of a scale from pure perfect fifths with a frequency ratio of 3:2. It was the standard tuning in Western music until the early Renaissance, and traditional Chinese and Japanese tunings are also based on similar principles. Pythagorean tuning produces pure fifths and fourths, but not pure thirds and sixths. https://scrapbox.io/files/64a15a3f45cd02001c6c2026.png
