In mathematics, Hilbert space, named after David Hilbert, generalizes Euclidean space. It allows the methodologies of linear algebra and calculus in the two-dimensional Euclidean plane and three-dimensional Euclidean space to extend to spaces of arbitrary finite or infinite dimensions. #analysis
