A mute is a device attached to a musical instrument as necessary to reduce its sound. There are 2 purposes: when needed for musical expression, and when needed to prevent practice sounds disturbing others. It is also called a sound modifier. https://scrapbox.io/files/66ee84ff55c717001c90769f.jpeg #sound
