The Belousov–Zhabotinsky reaction is a chemical reaction brominating carboxylic acids such as malonic acid with bromate, using metal salts such as cerium salts and bromide ions as catalysts. It is known as a representative nonlinear oscillating reaction in which concentrations of several substances in the system change periodically. Spatial fluctuations in substance concentrations in chemical reactions are called chemical reaction waves, spontaneously forming spatiotemporal ordered structures. https://youtu.be/BZxGpwNMzts?si=tZQiTpn3iRB8w-8B
