An experimental event treating the telephone network, the most familiar communication tool, as a museum, accessed via telephone, fax, and computer to experience works and messages by approximately 100 artists, writers, cultural figures, and others. There were 5 genres available for access, including conversations, readings, music, novels, and comics. Access required only using a telephone, fax, or personal computer to press a special speed-dial number provided for each genre. The event gave a foretaste of the expanding world of cyberspace.
