“EyeWriter,” in which Zach Lieberman was involved, is an open-source eye-tracking system developed to enable graffiti artist TEMPT1, whose whole body was paralyzed by ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis), to draw again. Overview and characteristics Project background: An international collaborative project launched in 2010. Besides Lieberman, members of Free Art and Technology (FAT), OpenFrameworks, Graffiti Research Lab, and others participated in development. Low-cost open source: designed as an open-source system accessible to anyone, using inexpensive commercially available cameras and components.
