Carmine-Emanuele Cella (born 1976) is an Italian composer and researcher internationally recognized for combining mathematics and music and for research into sound synthesis using advanced technologies. His distinctive approach involves “writing” or describing sound itself rather than conventional elements such as melody, chords, or rhythm. He works at IRCAM, the Institute for Research and Coordination in Acoustics/Music in France, and the University of California, Berkeley (UC Berkeley) in the United States. https://www.carminecella.com/
