A state in which a particle system obeying Bose–Einstein statistics falls below a certain temperature and all particles enter a single lowest-energy state. Despite being macroscopic, the system displays quantum-mechanical effects and behavior, producing unusual phenomena such as the superfluidity of liquid helium near absolute zero. Fermions include electrons, protons, and neutrons, with half-integer spin values such as 1/2. Bosons include photons and mesons, with integer spins such as 0 and 1. An even number of half-integer-spin particles can also combine to form a boson. #physics
