Tenchusatsu is a period considered in Sanmeigaku and the Four Pillars of Destiny to be “a time when heaven does not favor you,” during which fortune becomes unstable. It comes equally to everyone at intervals such as 2 years every 12 years, 2 months every 12 months, and 2 days every 12 days; annual Tenchusatsu is considered particularly influential. Rather than thinking “bad things will happen,” this period can be seen as a “recharging/hibernation period” for avoiding new starts and reflecting on yourself, offering an opportunity to reconsider how you live.
