The August issue of “Bijutsu Techo,” featuring “Games × Art,” introduces everything from artworks incorporating game technologies to discussions of artistry in games. At this talk event, speakers were Akihiko Taniguchi, a media artist who produces and studies game art and was responsible for structuring “Keywords for Thinking About Games × Art,” a feature providing a map of the issue; Shinji Matsunaga, a game researcher and aesthetician; and artist Yusuke Oiwa, whose research themes include narrative in games. They explored the relationship between the 2 fields from their respective perspectives. https://bijutsutecho.com/magazine/news/report/22690
