Ergon (Greek: ἔργον) is an ancient Greek noun meaning “work,” “labor,” “action,” or “artwork.” Beyond physical labor, it also encompasses results, functions, and roles, and is an extremely important root giving rise to modern “energy” and “ergonomics.”
