Theoria means “contemplation,” “observation,” or “seeing” in ancient Greek and refers to an attitude of looking deeply at things’ essence and attempting to understand it. Aristotle identified it as humanity’s highest, most blissful activity, and it is the origin of “theory.”
「テオリア(theoria)」は、古代ギリシャ語で「観想」「観察」「見ること」を意味し、物事の本質を深く見つめ、理解しようとする態度を指す言葉です。アリストテレスが人間の最高至福の活動と位置づけた概念で、理論(theory)の語源でもあります。
