Work description
ICC conducted the “ICC Metaverse Project” from fiscal 2008 through fiscal 2009. At a research meeting held in 2009/2, the possibilities of 3D virtual spaces collectively called the “metaverse” were discussed from various perspectives.
This work was produced as a research outcome of the “ICC Metaverse Project.” Today, with the internet permeating everyday life, how do human behavior and forms of communication in virtual spaces influence real society and vice versa? Here, multiple works developed in diverse ways using not only the metaverse but also web services such as Twitter. During the exhibition, new works were added continually, and viewers could also intervene in the works through the network.

作品解説
ICCでは，2008年度から2009年度にかけて「ICC メタバース・プロジェクト」と題する企画を行ないました．2009年2月に開催した研究会では，「メタバース」と総称される3D仮想空間の可能性が，さまざまな角度から議論されました．
この作品は，「ICC メタバース・プロジェクト」の研究成果として制作されました．インターネットが日常に浸透している現在，仮想空間における人のふるまいやコミュニケーションの様態は，現実の社会とどのように影響し合っているのでしょうか．ここでは，メタバースだけでなくTwitterなどのウェブ・サーヴィスも利用して，複数の作品が多様に展開されました．展示期間中は随時新しい作品が追加され，さらに，鑑賞者がネットワークを通じて作品に介入することが可能でした．
